Work is currently busy on two soon-to-open premises on Midland Road. While Waterstones will be moving over from Silver Street, they will also have recently a refurbished Shoe Zone as their next-door neighbour.

Waterstones – Opening 22nd October

In its bright and shiny new location, Waterstones Bedford will continue to serve both local citizens and the large number of tourists who visit our lovely and historic county town.  The new store will include a large Children's department, a thriving Fiction section, as well as a wide range of Non-Fiction books. The new store will also have a great range of Gifts and Stationery, just in time for Christmas! 

Shoe Zone - Opening 15th October

The newly refurbished store is opening on Friday 15th October 2021. It will feature some well-loved, own-brand styles, as well as a wide variety of top brands like Wrangler, Skechers and Hush Puppies.

The Bedford branch will launch its new look store with a wide selection of Shoe Zone’s latest Autumn / Winter 21 stock – along with guaranteed low prices for men, women and kids.

With these two new additions, alongside other big brand names such as Next, Primark and New Look, and some great independent stores and cafes too, it’s well worth a visit to Midland Road!
