Free courses bring in 1,000s over summer

07 April 2021

The Bedford Learning Centre is going to be pulling 1,000s of people into the town over the summer.

With radio, press and leaflet advertising, the High Street centre, which is known for offering introductory IT courses, will be calling in crowds.

The Learning Centre is part of The Bedford College Group which provides vital visitors to the town. In addition English as a Second Language (ESOL), English and maths courses are being offered online or at the riverside college campus over the summer.

For details of how you, or your employees can benefit from courses at the Bedford Learning Centre go to bedford.ac.uk

New for 2021 is a range of other business-backing training such as Business Improvement Techniques and Cyber Security which could be of interest to town centre shops and services. These are purely online distance learning courses with advice and support available from a dedicated tutor.

To register an interest, and to find the full list of courses available, please visit https://www.tresham.ac.uk/sectors/distance-learning/

BedfordBID is delighted to welcome this boost to town centre footfall and has offered £50 worth of Love Bedford vouchers to the Learning Centre to reward the top performing students.

Since opening in the town, the Learning Centre has seen more than 10,000 students gain certificates in IT. These learners are often making their first visit to the town centre, and Love Bedford hopes to encourage them to keep coming back.
