Wixams Academy students think Sanj Chandi, the owner of Treat Street dessert restaurants in Riverside, Bedford, is pretty cool.
Sanj gave up his time to inspire a next generation of entrepreneurs. The young and energetic business owner enthralled the students with the inside story of how he got his successful business started and was popping with ideas for taking it in new directions.
The students impressed him by confidently pitching new business ideas of their own to fit in with his fun, cool and quirky brand. Three ideas were chosen. The students will now be able to draw on Sanj's experiences to bring to life the concepts in their Business Studies GCSE course such as branding, market research, business plans, financing and marketing.
Sanj also focused on the need for drive, resilience, persistence and adaptability in business entrepreneurship.
