From Saturday 23rd November, Harpur Centre is inviting families to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy five weeks’ worth of free festive fun and entertainment, in addition to the fantastic Santa’s Grotto!

Kicking off the Christmas entertainment, shoppers are invited to Harpur Centre on Saturday 23rd November to see the largest lion to walk the earth. Families will have the chance to pose for photos with the real life looking Snow Lion as it struts its stuff around the Centre. Plus two fantastic face painters will be on hand transforming shoppers into a festive look, making the occasion that little bit more magical!

Whilst Santa will be busy with all the children in the Grotto on Saturday 30th November, his North Pole Postal Service team, Pickle the elf, Nena the reindeer and Santa’s helper Aurora will be out to meet all the visitors! As they bring along Pickles music, shoppers will have the wonderful opportunity to dance and pose for unique photos with the fun act at intervals throughout the day.

The fun continues on 7th December, as the festive face painters will be back for another glamourous filled Saturday with Santa’s favourite Balloon Modelling Elves. The Elves will be showcasing their amazing skills, making anything merry from Santa’s beard to reindeers, creating a perfect souvenir for children to take home from a fun-filled day.

If that wasn’t enough to get families into the Christmas spirit, two festive hedge men will be making an appearance in the centre on Saturday 14th December, dressed head to toe in fairy lights and baubles, along with Santa hats and presents for shoes, creating an incredible atmosphere. The hedge men will be bringing laughter and joy to all shoppers, giving hugs and posing for photos.

To conclude the Christmas celebrations, on Saturday 21st December, two glowing roller skating LED presents will be rolling into the Centre displaying their phenomenal skating skills. The magnificent duo will also greet shoppers, spread cheer and pirouette around the Centre.

All entertainment will run at intervals between 11am – 3pm.
