Moving Ahead of the Field by Degrees

Visitors to the Harpur Centre in Bedford will be able to view top talent from Bedford College degree-level students in a special pop-up gallery this summer. The prime unit hosting the gallery is centrally located between Starbucks and Boots.

Saturday June 8th - 14th BA Graphic Design Course

Monday July 8th - 12th Combined show by Fashion, Textiles for Fashion and Photography BA courses

All 10 am - 4.30 pm

The displays will demonstrate to visitors to the Harpur Centre how people can go from GCSEs, A Levels and Level 3 Diplomas right up to  BA degree (validated by the University of Northamptonshire) at the South Bank Arts Centre at the riverside Bedford College campus.

“Here in Bedford people can take top quality art and design full degree BAs in Graphic Design, Fashion, Textiles for Fashion and Photography, without the cost of going away to university. Plus they have the added benefit of being within an educational environment which is recognised by industry as one of the best.”

Samantha Laycock, Harpur Centre Manager said, “We are excited to work in partnership with our neighbouring college and exhibit their local talent for our visitors’ enjoyment.”

*Meanwhile work from various other cohorts and courses at the college will be unveiled at a series of exhibitions being held at the riverside South Bank Arts Centre at Bedford College starting from June 7th and running until July 5th. Entrance via Cauldwell Street and visitors must report to campus main reception on the ground floor of the Tower Block.
