Hair and Beauty students at Bedford College are going to be making waves with their ‘Under the Sea’ show on May 16th.

The annual event is always a town centre traffic-stopper as nearly 100 models with weird and wonderful make-overs process from Brooks training salon on the High Street to the Bedford Corn Exchange for the show. A catwalk of nearly 100 models and style artists will wow the audience and the winners will share £500 worth of Love Bedford gift vouchers donated by the BedfordBID on behalf of town centre businesses. Hair and Beauty Manager Kerry Attfield said: “The show is the highlight of the year for students as it gives them a taste of the excitement of the world of high fashion as it exists outside of the local salon. It is also a great showcase for Bedfordshire businesses to see the talent we are producing at Brooks training Salon.”

Christina Rowe, Director of BedfordBID says: “These Hair and Beauty students, like 1,000s of others from Bedford College’s riverside campus, are important customers in the town centre. 

“In addition, the trainees from Brooks are closely linked to the many hair and beauty businesses in the town centre and go on to work in local salons and spas.

Tickets for the show are £6 each from bedfordcornexchange.co.uk for the show on Thursday 16th May that starts at 7pm.
