Global Travel Experts are delighted to have won the New Business prize in the prestigious Bedfordshire Asian Business Association awards.
They joined others in a glittering line up at the Bedford Corn Exchange on October 13th.
Meherwan Bozorgi is flying the flag for his family business in Bedford by taking part in collaborative and community projects. He generously supported a free prize draw trip to New York to help promote the Love Bedford organisation, and donated a prize of flights for a boxing event held at the Bunyan Centre on September 29th. His company has sponsored the Junior Blues rugby team.
“We have we very grateful for the kind welcome and support we have had from so many people in Bedford and it is part of our faith to give back where we can. So to be nominated for this award is very humbling,” said Meherwan.
Meherwan arranged a Zoroastrian religious ceremony involving a blessing with fire was to mark the official opening of his Global Travel Experts shop in the Castle Quay retail and restaurant zone.
A priest conducted the worship for the family business, while MP Mohammad Yasin was invited to cut a ribbon to declare the shop open. Photo shows MP left at BABA awards with Meherwan and local councillors.
