Bedford has the brands which other High Streets have lost. We have a Debenham’s, Marks & Spencer, Next and the popular young stores like Primark and New Look.
While Northampton has no M&S, Bedford has familiar big brands and lots of independent fashion boutiques stocking designer wear which cause people to travel from miles around – just look at Mayson’s bringing menswear back to the High Street.
