Degree of success

10 September 2015

The University of Bedfordshire brought Luke Levitt to town and he has stayed to open up his own fitness centre.

Having studied for a degree in Sports and PE at the internationally renowned college in Polhill Avenue, Luke set up as a trainer and has now opened a “collective” called LLPT in Dane Street, Bedford.

The entrance is tucked away near the old General Post Office facing St Loyes, but the premises opens up into a large suite of rooms for training and yoga, for personal fitness or group sessions.

Said Luke, aged 26, photographed with his girlfriend and his parents: “I had the idea of a collective but was looking for the right rooms to become available. We are not a gym but somewhere where people can book individual training or small group sessions in comfortable surroundings.”

An official launch night on Saturday September 5th was attended by a fit crowd of folk who will be clients at the new centre.

A raffle on the night to support another town centre venue, Sports Traider, a charity which helps young people get into team sports and training, raised £270.
