Limes of Bedford, the popular town centre coffee and sandwich shop, celebrates its’ 10th birthday this week. Located on the corner of the beautiful Victorian Arcade, just a few steps from Marks and Spencer this truly independent business has a lot to offer….and a lot of celebrations too!

Business owner Helen Evans came to Bedford in May 2005, with little knowledge of the town, but with many years of experience in retail, food and marketing. “Bedford was, and still is, a town of many opportunities. It was the potential that Bedford offered which excited me, and it still does. Of course over the years I have seen many changes; an influx of coffee chains, the emergence of some exciting independent shops, a buoyant economy followed by a hard hitting recession, and now a town which is truly developing and moving forward ahead of many others.”

“The success of Limes is down to some very simple business practises. We offer fantastic freshly prepared food, sourced locally when possible, much of it home made and some of it home grown (have a peek at our roof top garden). It may sound corny but our food is made with love, try one of our Panini and you will see exactly what I mean. We look after our customers as our friends and over the years many have become exactly that! My team at Limes are amazing, they are as passionate about the business as I am”
