Inspired by traditional French brocante markets and launching on Sunday 20th May, Bedford Flea is a unique, eclectic market of quirky collectables, fabulous furniture, pre-loved books, vintage, vinyl, jewellery, clothing and Charles Wells’ beer.
From 11am – 4pm, Bedford Flea is the perfect way to spend a lazy, sunny Sunday. We advise a lie-in and then head into Bedford to browse the stalls, meet the traders and snap up some one-of-a-kind bargains in the shadow of the historic St Paul’s Church.
As part of the national Love Your Local Market Week celebrations, the first Bedford Flea ends Bedford Market’s weekend of activity from Friday 18th – Sunday 20th May. There will be lots to see and do besides the stalls, including fairground rides, children’s craft activities, food tastings and more, plus parking in all council-owned town centre car parks is FREE every Sunday.
So, come to Bedford Flea this May, July and September and make the most of your day. Meet up with friends in St Paul’s Square, grab a coffee from La Piazza and browse the stalls. Take a walk along the Embankment of the beautiful River Great Ouse and enjoy brunch, lunch, gelato, waffles or a pint in one of Bedford's restaurants, bars, cafes or pubs - many of whom will have special offers on the day. Visit one - or all - of the town's museums (we have three), hire a boat on the river and check out some of Bedford’s many independent shops (we have more than Cambridge). Miss it and you’ll definitely miss out!
