Fire ceremony lights way to Castle Quay

A Zoroastrian religious ceremony involving a blessing with fire was held to mark the official opening of Global Travel Experts in the Castle Quay retail and restaurant zone.

A priest conducted the worship for the family business, while MP Mohammad Yasin was invited to cut a ribbon to declare the shop open.

Making Bedford a destination

Travelling around the globe continues to be big business. Whether people are travelling for trade or as tourists, there is always a demand for expert advice and lowest prices.

This is evidenced by the expansion of Global Travel Experts into new premises at the Castle Quay complex (just off the High Street via Ram Yard passage).

Husband and Wife team Meherwan (pronounced Mer Van for ease) and his wife Benafsha are delighted to be taking all kind of bookings to various destinations from walk-in customers. They pride themselves in offering the cheapest prices for flights or holidays and assure customers of a service second to none.

“Not everyone trusts or is confident in booking on the internet. Here a client’s money is protected by the Travel Trust Association and ATOL (where applicable) so they feel secure.

“In addition I have 18 years combined experience in the travel business in India, The Far East and in London, so people can benefit from our expertise and lowest prices,” said Meherwan Bozorgi.

Previously at offices on St Cuthbert’s Street, Meherwan decided to take a lease from the council at Castle Quay to raise the profile of Global Travel Experts and ease customers walking-in.

“There are some very interesting businesses around here and we hope that we can make Castle Quay a destination for visitors.

“For ourselves we look forward to welcoming businesses and private travellers who want good value and great service.”

Meherwan and his family are of the Zoroastrian faith, which originated in Persia. The special religious ceremony of fire for the offical opening of their new business premises was held on 28th January 2018.
