Bedford selected as No.1 Commuter Town in Bedfordshire

25 May 2017

Bedford has been rated as ‘Best Commuter Town in Bedfordshire’ beating off competition from rival destinations such as Luton, Biggleswade, Sandy and Leighton Buzzard in a regional commuter town series by local property buyers, Vivo Property Buyers.

The research took into consideration key factors that are important to potential commuters such as housing affordability, commute length and annual train prices as well as other aspects that contribute to a good quality of life.

As one of the county’s largest towns, Bedford ticks all the boxes that commuters are looking for if they are looking to relocate away from London. It has a strong sense of community, open green spaces and affordable family housing, offering residents a high quality of life as well as value for their money.

Jantiene Sobry of Vivo Property Buyers had this to say about the ‘best commuter town in Bedfordshire’:

“Bedford checked all the boxes for us, With its good transportation links, strong sense of community, and the promise of an outdoor lifestyle, it's all you would ever want from a commuter town.”

Bedford will now make it to the final of Vivo’s ‘best commuter town’ against winners of the other popular commuter town counties such as Kent and Surrey. The winner will be announced shortly.
