Fun ideas for half term

25 May 2016

There are a number of exciting events in Bedford town centre over the next couple of weeks and with the weather improving as it has been there should be a great atmosphere in the town especially being half term.

Guided walks are now every Sunday until 4th September, call 01234 718112 for more information and learn more about the characters and buildings that have made Bedford.

Love Your Local Markets week takes place over half term with daily markets and Mr Gumble’s amusements, plus a visit from Arc Farm on Friday 3rd June with a selection of animals for the children to see for FREE. All this is followed by the annual High Street Showcase on Saturday 4th June with lots of fun and games for the whole family.

During half term there are plenty of crafty activities at the Library and the Higgins to get your teeth into, and as the week comes to an end why not get involved or come along to support the Love Bedford Run Bedford event on Sunday 5th June. The race starts at 9am on Bedford's embankment.

River cruises on the John Bunyan boat are available on various days, visit www.johnbunyanboat.org for a timetable and of course don't forget to make a note in your calendar for the Kite festival by the river on 11th and 12th June with fantastic demonstrations and workshops.
