A jam-packed weekend of comedy lies ahead at the Quarry this April as we bring you our inaugural Quarry Theatre Comedy Festival. Taking place Friday 8 – Sunday 10 April, the festival opens with two companies that have had great success at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in recent years. Company Gavin Robertson follows up his hit show Bond! – An Unauthorised Parody with Escape From The Planet Of The Day Of The Dinosaurs! in which he combines forces with Katherine Hurst (and a bloke called Simon) to present a hotchpotch of silliness drawing from classic adventure films. Later in the evening, devastatingly original double act Roisin & Chiara bring us Wild At Heart, in which characters collide and connect in a tapestry of irresistibly well-observed and hilarious character vignettes.

 ‘Uniquely talented stand-up and expert improviser’ (GQ) Eric Lampaert has brought a love of film and comedy together and created the ultimate mash-up in his Comedian’s Cinema Club, in which he invites 4 comedians to join him in recreating Top Gun live on stage, so grab your aviators and head down.

Fans of sketch comedy, we offer you two fantastic shows. From Ireland, Foil, Arms and Hog bring their show Skiddlywup, their most critically acclaimed show to date, and from Brighton, young up-and-comers Kids with Beards bring their imaginatively titled show, Kids with Beards.       

For those younger budding comedians, Comedy Club 4 Kids features some of the best comedians in the UK doing what they do best – but without the rude bits! Great for kids all of all ages, this is the ‘perfect way to entertain the whole family’ (Three Weeks).

Finally, we bring the excitement and laughs of Live at the Apollo to Bedford with our very own Live at the Quarry! We end the evening of Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th with headline performances featuring three comedians doing a selection of their very best material under the watchful eye of the MCs, Ray Peacock (Sat) and Iain Stirling (Sun).
