To help combat the January blues, Bedford Borough Council has announced that the current 2 hour free parking offer at the Queen Street car park has been extended until 31 January!

The Council had gone above and beyond this year to make sure that shoppers had every reason to buy local, with a variety of free parking opportunities being offered over the Christmas period. Motorists have been enjoying the first two hours of free parking in the Town Centre’s Queen Street car park since 1 December, a move that proved so popular it is now set to continue for the next month.

Summary of January Car Parking Offers:

·         2 hours free parking on Saturday in all Council-owned Town Centre car parks

·         All of Sunday free parking in Council-owned Car Parks where open and on-street

·         Free parking after 6pm on-street

·         First 2 hours free parking in our Town Centre’s Queen Street car park for the whole of January. Address: Queen Street, Bedford MK40 2RF

Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, said: “Feedback on the Queen Street free parking offer during December was very positive, so we’re pleased to be able to extend it until the end of January.
