The Harpur Centre’s Security Manager is celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.
Michael Reynolds, who has been at the centre for nearly four years, was shortlisted for an ACE Star award at the BCSC Achieving Customer Excellence Awards, the benchmark for excellence in the industry. He passed two “mystery shopper” experiences to be nominated and despite being pipped at the post on the night, simply being shortlisted out of 101 shopping centres from across the UK was a great achievement.
“Everyone at the centre works hard to give customers the best experience possible and being short listed for this well-respected award is testament to our dedication to our shoppers,” explains Samantha Laycock, Harpur Centre Manager.
“We would like to thank Michael for his continued hard work and commitment to the centre. We are extremely proud of him and know he will continue to provide the highest level of service to our customers. He also looks great in his new uniform!” adds Sam.
As from the 1st June, Kingdom has been awarded the contract to provide security services to The Harpur Centre. It will provide a continual security presence in the shopping mall and car park as well as constant CCTV coverage across the entire site. They will also look to build relationships with stores in the shopping centre tenants, while engaging with Bedford town centre’s crime reduction team. In addition to this, Kingdom will also be responsible for introducing new security awareness initiatives like the “Think Shrink” campaign aimed at loss prevention.
