Nepal Earthquake appeal meal

19 May 2015

A very special themed five-course dinner has been arranged at the popular 25 Restaurant on the 5th floor of Bedford College tower.

The “Celebrating Local Produce” meal will feature innovative and delicious dishes by students using foods sponsored by AB Fruits, M&J Seafood, Woburn County Foods, Wodehill artisan cheese and Callebaut chocolate.

Now it has been decided that the event will also help raise money for the Nepal Earthquake – which is of particular importance to one member of the hospitality staff, Andrea Ruff, as her sister Lindsay Baigent is the thick of it as a nurse.

“I am very proud of my sister’s work and our Assistant Director Mark Lewis has kindly agreed that we can use our event on May 21st to help raise funds for the Nepal appeal,” said Andrea.

In support of Andrea,  past and present students have volunteered to come in and help make the evening a success. Tickets are available by ringing the restaurant on (01234) 291719.

A charity raffle is being held and prizes would be very welcome.

So far these include: Afternoon Tea for 2 at Bedford Swan Hotel, a Callebaut chocolate masterclass at Bedford College, £20 Love Bedford shopping vouchers and more.

If you would like to donate a prize please contact Andrea on the number above.
