Actress Nicola Weeks is putting brides in the spotlight with her beautiful new bridal boutique.

George James Bridal, located on Harpur Street, Bedford will be opening its doors on Monday 26th January and will house fabulous collections from leading designers.

Situated next door to the established mother-of-the-bride and ladies’ wear shop Michael Bailey, Nicola wants to provide brides with an exclusive, high end experience with stunning gowns at affordable prices.  Brides can book in for an appointment where they will be greeted with a glass of bubbly while they look for their dream dress.

A Bedfordshire girl born and bred, Nicola was a pupil at Bedford High School before graduating from The Guildford School of Acting. Her new business may be bridal but Nicola is no stranger to the ballroom.  Her parents are former British champions who run Strictly Dance and Fitness Bedfordshire, Wrest Park, Silsoe.  Nicola has also recently become engaged herself so as a bride to be she can relate to the excitement of finding the perfect wedding dress.

Over the last 12 years Nicola has performed alongside many great theatrical names on TV, radio and stage. She most recently starred in panto with Shane Richie, who is now on TV’s National Lotto programme and she hopes to come up with a jackpot of celebrity visitors and endorsements for her business venture.

“Having worked on stage for all my life, I am well aware that a woman’s wedding is one of the most special and important occasions  - one where she will be centre stage. I want to bring magic and glamour to that experience right from the day she chooses her dress,” said Nicola.
