The Bedford Swan Hotel is making the most of its riverside location - all year round.
The new Terrace Bar was the hit of the summer season, especially with the 100,000s who visited the Bedford River Festival.
Now that terrace area is to be turned into a real ice rink for adults and children to enjoy from November 21st through to January.
The sparkling ice attraction will bring in people from far and wide to take an inside look, perhaps for the first time, at the historical hotel.
"Seasonal ice rinks are becoming increasingly popular but this is the first in Bedford town centre and of course is attached to all the other great hospitality facilities here at the hotel," said Sales and Marketing Manager Natasha Trudgill,
"To be able to skate outdoors, alongside Bedford's beautiful river will be the best festive attraction the town could wish for."
Bookings can be made on-line now and it is worth signing up to keep up to date with any special "flash" offers which come up each week. As well as party bookings there are packages such as lunch or dinner at the hotel combined with a skate session.
The Christmas season at the Bedford Swan offers a wide range of options for family or office events. From Festive Afternoon Tea at £15.95 per person, to Christmas lunches and party nights from £25 per person and New Year Celebrations. Attending any of these regular Christmas offers can be combined with the ice-rink attraction - provided you book early enough.
