Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead

Saturday 17 June 2017

Quarry Theatre, St Peters Street, Bedford MK40 2NN

8pm

Performed by our upper school pupils.

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead retells the story of Shakespeare’s Hamlet from the point of view of two of the famous play’s most insignificant characters. While visiting their old friend Hamlet, the pair engage in an ongoing philosophical debate about free will versus predestination, each trying to prove absurd positions through misbegotten experiments. Meanwhile, the clueless friends attempt to make sense of the peculiar goings-on in the castle.

This amateur production of “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD.

“The video and/or audio recording of this performance by any means whatsoever are strictly prohibited.”
